TRAIN SERVICES ON THE HAMPTON COURT - WATERLOO LINE WILL BE CANCELLED DURING THE RMT STRIKE DAYS, WITH NO REPLACEMENT BUS SERVICE PROVIDED BY SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY

Railway track

RMT strikes are set to disrupt SWR train services for five consecutive days, Tuesday-Saturday 23-27 October, and then on Saturdays  3, 10, 17 & 24 November.

For commuters using Thames Ditton and Hampton Court stations there will be no train or replacement bus service on these days, in contrast to what SWR is providing on most of its other routes.

Furthermore, SWR tickets will not be accepted on the regular bus services which commuters will need to get to a station where trains are running.

Click here to go to SWR's website for more information on their strike-day service.

If you normally travel from Thames Ditton station, your strike-day options are :-

  • Walk or get a bus to Esher station, though you will be expected to pay an additional train fare as Esher is in the next fare zone out.
  • Get a bus to Surbiton station.

The 515 bus goes to Surbiton station, and close to Esher station.  Click here to see the 515 timetable.

If you wish to claim compensation/refund from SWR for your cancelled service or additional expense incurred in getting to a functioning station, click here to go to the SWR compensation web page.
