Surrey County Council have advised of the following upcoming road works and the associated road closures in Thames Ditton High Street :-  

1.  Near the junction with Summer Road, 1-12 August
Temporarily prohibiting vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of High Street, Thames Ditton, between the northern boundary of property number 97 High Street for a distance of 15 metres in a southerly direction. This temporary traffic Order is required to enable Cappagh to carry out essential sewer repairs on behalf of Thames Water. This work is anticipated to commence on the 1st August 2016 for 13 days between the hours of 08.00hrs and 17.00hrs (Monday-Friday) and between 08.00hrs and 13.00hrs (Saturday) within the two month duration of this Order, that commences on the 1st August 2016.
It is anticipated that this road will remain closed at all times during these works. Access will be maintained at all times for pedestrians. Access will be maintained at all times for emergency services and residents via the signed diversion route. Vehicles will be diverted via High Street, Station Road, Speer Road and Summer Road. HGV traffic will be diverted via St Leonards Road, Portsmouth Road, Hampton Court Road, Embercourt Road, Speer Road and Summer Road.




2.  Between the junctions with Station Road and Ashley Road, 17-20 August
Temporarily prohibiting waiting by vehicles between the hours of 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs in the length of High Street, Thames Ditton, which extends from its junction with Station Road to the northern boundary of property number 8 High Street, Thames Ditton. This temporary traffic Order is required to enable McNicholas Construction to carry out a new connection on behalf of Virgin Media.
This work is anticipated to commence on the 17th August 2016 for three days within the two month duration of this Order, which commences on the 1st August 2016. Exemptions are provided in respect of the temporary waiting restrictions to permit vehicles to wait in order to pick up and set down passengers, to load and unload goods, to carry out essential services and works or when used by local authorities in pursuance of statutory powers or duties and for furniture removals. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).


Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary traffic management Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
