WILD, WILD WESTON SUMMER FAIR & BAKE OFF

11.00 AM – 4.00 PM AT ALL SAINTS WESTON GREEN

This year’s summer event is going to be the biggest ever! We invite you to get in touch with your inner cowboy or cowgirl and join in the fun for all the family.

For the children we are building a cardboard town for them to get into & have their picture taken. They can pan for gold nuggets, throw a snake into a boot, toss horseshoes, or sip milkshakes provided by the Guides.

Grownups can also play the games, buy gifts from our vendor’s stalls, buy locally grown fruit, veg. & plants or simply observe the kids from the sanctuary of Dirty Harry’s Bar. Inside the church they can place bets on the Vicar’s own Chattanooga Choo Choo’s performance round the track.

Of course there will be eating opportunities too…..sausage baps for brunch, Desperate Dan’s BBQ for lunch and homemade cakes to chomp on or take home for tea.

At High Noon some of our youngsters will be hoisting piñatas from the bell tower to bash out all their excess energy with sticks. Any person or group wanting to bring one along should contact Joy Tilbury on 01932 227262 or joyetilbury@gmail.com for details.

Last year our afternoon Bake Off competition was really popular and this year we have a Western theme for entries although recipes don’t have to be authentic American ones. Raymond Blanc’s son Oli is cycling down Hampton Court Way from his cookery demo at Hampton Court fair to be one of the judges. See bake off entry details & forms in church or DOWNLOAD BAKE-OFF ENTRY FORMS HERE AND REGULATIONS HERE

We will be awarding a small prize for the best Wild, Wild West related outfit of the day if you fancy putting on a checked shirt or poncho. Bring all the family, tell the neighbours and celebrate 4th July with blazing saddles! Yeehaw!

Round off the day by coming to the church in the evening to listen to the fantastic Ember Big Band who will be playing some American classics to celebrate 4th July.

There will be a bar open before the concert and during the interval.   Fore full details click here
