17The 2015 Winter Wonderland themed Christmas Fair in the High Street on November 29 was a twinkling success despite the windy weather.  Once again the village turned out in record numbers to enjoy festive entertainment featuring local choirs, dance troupes and other performers, including the ice king and ice queen stilt walkers. There were fabulous fancy dress competitions for dogs and children and plenty of delicious street food, plus mince pies, roasted chestnuts and mulled wine. The High Street shops pulled out the stops with sensational festive shopping plus lots of activities for kids. Major highlights included Santa in his crystal grotto plus the switching on of the High Street lights by former Fulham Manager Kit Symons. Once Kit had flicked the switch on the lime tree, the other 45 smaller trees in the High Street started twinkling away and their wonderland magic will continue through to December 25 and beyond.
