Flags continue to fly to support our British Athletes in the Olympic Games.

Our glorious Union Flags and bunting went up in the High Street to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday. They would have been lowered after Her Majesty’s official birthday on 11th June, but a number of residents and retailers asked if the flags could remain in place, on the shops, businesses and some houses in the High Street to support our British athletes at this year’s Olympic Games in Rio from 5th to 21st August.

As our Thames Ditton High Street Flags were originally commissioned for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, it seemed timely to keep them flying for the duration of this year’s event. We hope you continue to enjoy the display which has brightened up the village throughout the summer.
