Local Government Reorganisation
Residents may have heard that in 2027 our local councils (Elmbridge and Surrey) are being replaced by a single unitary Council, the format of which is yet to be decided by Government. Surrey County Council is hosting an online Q&A session on 7 July, in order give residents a chance to learn a bit more about what is planned, why and what we can expect from a unitary council in future. You can book on to the event here:
https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/council-and-democracy/lgr/events
In the meantime the Government has launched a Consultation about the process which anyone can reply to. It is open until 5 August. You can find the Consultation here:

You are welcome to contact any of our local councillors at any time and they will be glad to try to explain the implications of Local Government Reorganisation. For their contact details go to:

There is also an earlier article on the RA website (20 June), which also features in the Summer Thames Ditton Today - explaining what we know so far.
