Thames Ditton Today

Thames Ditton Today, the magazine of the Thames Ditton and Weston Green Residents' Association, is a glossy publication 48 pages in length that issues quarterly. Produced by volunteers to professional standards, it contains news of the area and of activities in which the Association is concerned or supports, information about our local community and informative articles and stories relevant to the area and often to local history volunteered by many sources. 'Thames Ditton Today' carries some paid advertising by local businesses to help defray its costs, is delivered to over 4000 households in all of Thames Ditton and Weston Green, and its influential adult readership is estimated at over 7,500. Its quality content has ensured that residents retain it as a publication of record, with many holding a full set of back issues, and indeed over its 42 years it has become an archival resource. In 2011 Surrey County Council contributed to all back issues being bound and placed in Dittons Library for reference.

This version of the magazine online broadens readership still further, as downloadable files subject to authors' and Residents' Association copyright. There is a waiting list for advertisers - please contact our Advertising manager as below. Taken across a year, rates are highly competitive for a magazine that remains on readers' home shelves and tables. Advertisements are moreover supporting a not-for-profit community periodical. Within the wide readership, the Residents' Association numbers over 2500 members, who are particularly conscious of, and grateful for, this community support by advertisers. Advertisers may wish to note that for a very small one-time fee you can have your business listed in our searchable business index.

Contributors
Contributors are always welcome. Please send us your news, views, and details of local events for consideration, and proposals for articles you would be prepared to write - preferably by email to the Editor. Letters or extracts from letters may be published or drawn upon; and there is scope for a one-page rant every now and again, couched in civilised and good-humoured terms (and not illegal!). Deadlines are four weeks before the target publication dates of 7 March, 7 June, 14 September and 7 December.

Photographs: amateur and professional photographers are very much encouraged to propose photos, particularly photos suitable for the cover (A5 format at 300 dpi, RGB or CMYK colour, scope for title and footer). Articles submitted should ideally contain a suitable image also - in some circumstances we can send a photographer. Please email images to the Editor. The final cover choice, which may depend on its relevance to contents inside the magazine, theme, or season of the year, is made by our designer Guy Holman from the Editor's selection.

Advertisers
Please give Verity a call to discuss rates for full page, half page and quarter page advertising in the magazine.
